1. Goals and objectives
Competitions are held for development and promotion of cycling, forming true values among the young generation and motivation for cycling itself. Competition helps athletes to stay in good shape, promotes environmentally friendly transport and a healthy lifestyle, reveals the winners of cycling in different age groups.
2. Event management
The marathon is hosted by the Mountain Bicycling Federation with the assistance of Ivanovo cycling club Veloshturm.
3. Dates and place of the event
The event is hosted in Plios on July 17, 2016. Athletes arrive on July 15, 16.
4. Conditions of participation
4.1. Participants categories

- W23 (1987-1993) 23 – 29 years old

Participant’s age will be determined as of 31st of December 2016.
In case a category has less than 4 participants, it will be combined with the younger category.
Preliminary registration: from March 17, 2016 till July 10, 2016.
Then the registration will be temporarily closed until 16th of July. 16th and 17th of July Registration of participants will take place at the starting point.
Registration and delivery of starting packages on July 16 will be held from 12pm till 3pm. Registration and delivery of starting packages on July 17 will be held before the start of the race from 9am till 11am.
Participants who miss the registration and don’t have their own starter pack will not be allowed to start the race.

Each participant must have the following documents at registration and starter pack delivery:
- ID (civil passport or international passport)
- a valid insurance policy
- a medical certificate
Minor participants are required to show permission from their parent or legal guardian permitting them to participate in the race.
Participants are allowed to join the race after signing the participant application, confirming the accuracy of personal data provided and personal responsibility for their health.
Participants who have category C of Russian Cycling Federation license are not allowed to participate in categories Light Fitness and Fitness.
Use of Electric Bikes are not allowed in the race. Use of tandem is not allowed in the race except only for fun riding.
4.4. Team Participation
Teams participating in the race must submit a team application. Teams must consist of 4 or more members with at least one woman. A participant is only allowed to be a member of one team.
Being part of a team, each member is also taking part the individual racing in his/her category. Each team member pays his entry fee according to the distance. There is no additional fee for team participation.
4.5. Other rules of participation
To provide proper scoring each racer must attach to his/her bike their starting number with a chip so that it is visible throughout the race.
Use of headphones during the race is prohibited.
The hosts of the event and/or their authorized representatives have the right to use video and photo materials, names and other information about participants of the Plios marathon for advertising and informational purposes only and interview participants about the event. These materials are intended for radio and television, and can be used for advertisement without obtaining additional permits for video/photography. By accepting the terms and conditions participants agree that their pictures, names can be used in public without additional compensation and consent. Photos obtained at the event, are the property of the organizers. Participants taking part in a photo or video shoot, at the same time give their permission to the organizers free of charge (without remuneration) to use their images in all resulting materials specified in part. 2, art. 1270 of the Civil Code. The permit is valid from the moment of the creation of works for the entire duration of the copyright, and without limitation by territory.

6. Winners Determination
In each category, the winner is determined by the shortest travel time of the race distance.
The winning team is determined by the lowest average travel time of all team members.
Winners of the race in the standings in each group will be awarded with diplomas and prizes from the sponsors of the event.
8. Entry Fee
Entry fee if registration and payment are done in the period March 17, 2016 – March 30, 2016
- 60 km – ₽700
- 40 km – ₽550
- 20 km – ₽400
Entry fee if registration and payment are done in the period May 1, 2016 – May 31, 2016
- 60 km – ₽1000
- 40 km – ₽800
- 20 km – ₽600
Entry fee if registration and payment are done in the period June 1, 2016 – June 30, 2016
- 60 km – ₽1700
- 40 km – ₽1400
- 20 km – ₽1100
In case of refusal to participate in the competition the entry fee will not be refunded. If the hosting of the competition becomes impossible due to reasons beyond the organizers, the entry fee is not refundable.
The organizing committee reserves the right to change the program, time and venue of the marathon in case of force majeure.
The costs associated with the preparation and hosting of the Plios Marathon, organizational issues, payment for judgment and awarding the winners of the race in the individual competition are performed by the organizational committee and sponsors.
Travel, accommodation and meals for nonresident athletes are to be provided by the sending organizations or parties.
This Regulation is an official invitation for the competition.
